Barefoot Seamless Floors - a new beginning

So how was it born, the Barefoot floor? What creative process was responsible for this creature that, with the minimum of fuss, can arrange itself around your home and sit there quietly, supporting you through your busy life?

Our founder Dawn Gibbins MBE became fascinated by the beliefs of China and Africa, where to walk barefoot is as natural as breathing. The reported health benefits of walking barefoot seemed too obvious for doubt. She could see the health giving aspects of this way of life but realized that most of us would not be comfortable just losing the shoes, without some initial support.

Drawing on her huge experience of flooring (she founded, then sold, Flowcrete - a commercial seamless flooring company) she came up with the idea of the pebble carpet, which gives you an ‘outside’ barefoot experience inside the house. It enables you to gain the positive health benefits of walking barefoot within your home or garden. Naturally the pebble carpet isn’t suitable for all rooms in the house, so a supporting cast of Smoothie and Cocktail floors was brought in to fill the gaps.

Now Barefoot seamless designer flooring can give you that ‘outside in’ feel anywhere you care to put it, as there is little difference between the flooring that is suitable for inside, and flooring that is suitable for out. That's innovative flooring.
