Barefoot Helps Power Jan’s Journey - winning team
Barefoot Living pledged support for well-known business expert Jan Gregory, as he embarked on an ambitious journey to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust. Jan, of Ernst and Young, tackled a 269 kilometre ride across Costa Rica - from the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea - in just seven days. He biked, hiked and kayaked his way across through rainforests, volcanic regions, mountains and rivers – and camped in remote jungle locations. The adventure ended on the 30 September. Jan said: “For many years, I’ve been a supporter of The Prince’s Trust and, as a board member for Greater Manchester in my late 20s, was inspired by the drive of the young people getting going in their own businesses and the work of the Trust to help them take their first steps.” Dawn Gibbins, chairman of Barefoot Living said: “We were delighted to support Jan with this gruelling fundraising adventure.
Notes to Editors Barefoot Living, based on the edge of the Peak District, near to Macclesfield, brings together the positive influences of Feng Shui, healthy eating and other lifestyle factors to make the UK feel good. It is an enterprise founded by Dawn Gibbins MBE, ‘the barefoot entrepreneur.’
